Haute stuff at new Rumors may include Mazzone

The new Rumors building.

LATHAM -- The new, expanded Rumors beauty salon and spa has opened, at 626 New Loudon Road (Route 9) just north of its original Newton Plaza location.

What does that have to do with the foodie scene?

Just that staffers have been buzzing with word that restaurant entrepreneur Angelo Mazzone is working on a dining spot on-site.

Mazzone has not yet responded to a message left several days ago asking for details. I'll share with you what he has to say when he does.

Footnote: For those rare individuals unaware of Mazzone's reach, he operates Angelo's 677 Prime in Albany, the Glen Sanders Mansion and its Angelo's Tavola, in Scotia; Prime at Saratoga National Golf Course ... and so on.
