Report made official: Mazzone going to the spa

The new Rumors.

LATHAM -- Mazzone Hospitality has made official what I first reported back in mid-June -- a new restaurant project at the Rumors Salon & Spa.

Entrepreneur Angelo Mazzone has teamed up with Leah Tyrrell and Amy Kiernan to create TALA, An American Bistro, being developed for a fall opening at the the new Rumors building at 626 New Loudon Road.

TALA -- the name is an acronym for partners' names -- will be a 50-seat restaurant with patio seating as well. Plans are to serve lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, offering both a spa menu catering to Rumors customers as well as a full menu for the public at large.

Mazzone's company operates restaurants (Angelo's 677 Prime, Prime at Saratoga National Golf Club, Angelo's Tavola, Aperitivo Bistro, Angelo's Prime Bar & Grill), banquet facilities and inn (Glen Sanders Mansion, Hall of Springs, Key Hall at Proctors), off-premises catering and Prime Business Dining (Golub Corporation, Global Foundries, The SI Group).
