Troy Restaurant Tour adds 2 more venues

TROY -- The upcoming Troy Restaurant Tour fundraiser has added two more participants, bringing the lineup to 10.

The additions are according to Sharon Smith, executive director of the Troy Boys & Girls Club, which will be the recipient of funds raised by the August 28 event. They are:

• Ryan's Wake, part of the lineup of pubs and eateries on River Street anchored by Brown's Brewing. It features a gem of a 26-foot Cuban mahogany bar that founder Chris Ryan bought at auction from the estate of the late Col. B.A. Gill, an Albany collector of historiana. Its provenance begins in Amsterdam and dates to the late 1890s. It had been in steady use for decades, then went into storage for 30 years before Ryan acquired it.

• Bat Shea's, a Celtic pub and restaurant that opened around the beginning of the year at 95 Ferry Street.
