New Buddha club to open in downtown Albany

ALBANY -- Downtown may have lost several nightspots in recent weeks -- Jillian's and Savannah's/Dublin Underground to name just two, but this Saturday it will see the number trending up.

That's the scheduled opening night for Buddha & Club Zen. Its an event only for patrons 21 or older. There's a minimal $5 cover charge, although for opening night groups of 10 or more showing up before 11 p.m. will be admitted free.

And, since clubs always need the feminine touch to be successful, another opening-night promotion will offer a free bottle of Champagne to groups of 10 women or more.
