Hattie's 'Mardi Gras' party to support ballet at SPAC

SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Hattie’s Restaurant owners Jasper and Beth Alexander plan to combine their passions to create a fundraiser for the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

Their 12th annual Mardi Gras soirée and fundraiser, set for Saturday, January 19, at Canfield Casino in Congress Park, was created as a way to support local nonprofit organizations and the recipients can change yearly.

Jasper is executive chef of the popular Phila Street restaurant. Co-owner Beth is a teacher at Myers Dance School and involved with the Northeast Ballet Company. They just celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary.

The Mardi Gras proceeds will benefit  SPAC’s residency of the New York City Ballet. The ballet has been an annual visitor to SPAC since the facility's inaugural season in 1966.
