Excelsior Pub holding Amorici Wine tasting Wednesday

ALBANY -- The Excelsior Pub will hold a tasting of Amorici Wines from 5 to 7 p.m. this Wednesday.

The wines are made by Joe Messina of Amici Vineyard & Winery in Valley Falls, Washington County.

The Excelsior is run by Jason Bowers, a proponent of small-batch wines and beers and features only New York State brands.

The pub opened last May as an annex of Cafe 217. It is accessible either through the restaurant, or via a sidewalk entrance near the corner of Delaware Avenue and Jefferson Street.
