|Chef Ric Orlando|
The innovative restaurant that has been the venue for Orlando's rise to both regional and Food Channel TV renown has briefly been closed for a reworking after 19 years to offer both new dishes and refreshed classics.
"Look for more small plates, sexy entrees and beautiful pasta and grain dishes," says Orlando. "Meaty, fishy, vegan and gluten-free dishes abound."
For those unfamiliar with Orlando's global fusion creativity, think such small plates and entrees as pineapple daikon kim chee; tuna crudo on wonton tostadas; bacon-wrapped, gouda-stuffed meat loaf; melted wild boar shoulder over papardelle, and seitan stroganoff with soba noodles, cashew sour cream, tarragon and mushrooms.
