'Breakfast With Santa' and Shawn P's 1st anniversary

COHOES -- Van Schaick Island Counry Club may limit its course to members, but its restaurant is open to the public. And, Shawn P's is letting the public know it has something special cooked up to mark its first anniversary on the premises.

"Breakfast With Santa," a benefit event for the Girl Scouts of Watervliet, Green Island and Cohoes as well as for Toys for Tots, is set for 8 a.m. to noon next Saturday (December 15). Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for children, and attendees are asked to bring a new, unqrapped toy to be donated.

The menu will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, toast, juices, coffee and tea.

Regular hours at Shawn P's are 11 a.m. to closing every day. The country club is located at 201 Continental Avenue. Restaurant phone: 328-0079.
