Diner-style food in new Albany cafe

ALBANY -- Portelli's Joe 'N Dough is close to making its debut in the 66 Central Avenue space briefly occupied by Johny's Diner, but all the planning still isn't complete.

Owner Alex Portelli still is busy on the cafe's Facebook page soliciting menu suggestions, what TV service to use, etc., from potential customers and whether they should add breakfast to their initial plans to serve only lunch and dinner. Plans also are for a very late-night operation that will serve all sorts of working shifts in the city.

Here's a sneak peek at just a few of the bargain-priced menu items:
