One more Old Daley successor bites the dust

TROY -- The closings continue to pile up for a restaurant facility that for 26 years was home to an icon in the city's Lansingburgh neighborhood.

Since the Old Daley Inn ownership closed the restaurant at 499 2nd Avenue in 2001 to concentrate on catering (it since branched out by purchasing the Crooked Lake House), the building has seen a steady stream of short-lived businesses.

The latest is the 1760 Manor Inn & Pub, closed by owners George Hill and Bob Furlani after a brief seven-month run.

Other brief runs were under the names The 499 House, Mahoney's, MJ's On the Avenue and Rennihan's.
