The road is clear for Troy's Wing Wars competition

TROY -- The 9th annual Wing Wars will be a lot easier to get to than last year's event.

The annual fundraiser for St. Jude the Apostle School in Wynantskill had to overcome frequent detours and lengthy reconstruction of Campbell Avenue, the street that fronts the host venue Franklin Terrace Ballroom. That project was completed late last year.

This year's competition is scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, January 19.

• Dinosaur Bar-B-Que 
• Flying Chicken

• Tex’s Pig Pit BBQ 
• Bella Roma at Price Chopper 
• Recovery Sports Grill 
• Park Pub & Restaurant 
• Brown's Brewing 
• Black Bear Inn 
• Towne Tavern 
• Villa Valenti Pub 
• The Sports Grill 

Tickets, priced at $20, are available at each of the competitors' locations and at the school. Franklin Terrace Ballroom is located at 126 Campbell Avenue.
