February events calendar packed with possibilities

More than 20 restaurants opened their doors today to visitors lured by the 8th annual Schenectady Restaurant Week that will run through Sunday.

But, that's not the only major culinary event going on in the greater Capital Region and outlying areas in the remainder of the month. Here are a few others:

• The 2nd annual Saratoga Beer Week, which begins Tuesday and runs through Saturday. It includes special events and offerings at numerous local restaurants and taverns as well as at the City Center on the final day.

 

• The 3rd annual Musicians Unite for Local Food Pantries, a day-long Saturday fundraiser at The Adirondack Carousel in Saranac Lake.

• The annual Bavarian Fest on Saturday Windham Mountain.

 
• The final weekend of the month-long Lake George Winter Carnival in Lake George Village.

March will be even busier.
