Shuttles to bring public to FreshConnect Farmers' Market

ALBANY -- People who don't want to encounter parking problems, or those who don't have private transportation, may be interested in a new shuttle service that will begin Thursday from various points in the city to the Downtown Albany FreshConnect Farmers' Market, located at SUNY Plaza on Broadway near the foot of State Street.

The free shuttle will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Thursday in a loop to include stops at six locations. They are:
  • Ida Yarbrough, 270 North Pearl Street
  • South Mall Towers, 101 South Pearl Street
  • African American Cultural Center,  135 South Pearl Street
  • Steamboat Square, 20 Rensselaer Street
  • Downtown Albany BID Office, 40 North Pearl Street
  • SUNY Plaza Farmers Market, Broadway and State Street
Cost of the shuttle is being covered by a New York FreshConnect Program grant from the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets, with transportation provided by CDTA.
