Any way you say it, a new deli is coming to Wynantskill

WYNANTSKILL -- Most people, of course, pronounce it "sandwich," but some say "sammich" and others say "sangwidj." It all depends on regional accents.

In Rensselaer County,  Marlon Coley and Jennifer Navarette Coley hope everyone will be saying "samwich," as in the name of their new business.

The Samwich Deli & CafĂ© is scheduled for a limited-menu soft opening 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and a full-on operation as of Friday.

The new venture is located in the Wynantskill Plaza at  51 Main Avenue -- adjacent to a Subway shop, which is gutsy marketing. The Coleys style it as a retro-deli with modern gourmet sandwiches. There will be tables for evening food service. One of its signature sandwiches is a Cubano, a goodie in short supply in this area.

Here are some photos from the new venture's Facebook page showing the work that went into creating the site.
