Michigan beer dinner set at The Hollow

ALBANY -- The Hollow Bar + Kitchen is planning a four-course beer dinner for next Tuesday, September 27, featuring beers from the Founders Brewing Company of Grand Rapids, MI.

An optional 5:30 p.m. cocktail hour is included in the evening, scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., along with a post-dessert tapping of the "cult-following beer" Kentucky Breakfast Stout. The menu, which uses beers as an ingredient in each course:

1st Course: Grilled romaine, roasted butternut squash, candied walnuts, Grana Padano cheese, Vidalia onion Centennial IPA vinaigrette, paired with a Centennial IPA.

2nd course:
Greens and beans, choice of sausage or veggie sausage, Dirty Bastard braised leeks, paired with Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale.

3rd course:
Blushing Monk sautéed chicken or veggie chicken, raspberry balsamic gastrique, watermelon salsa, dirty rice, paired with Blushing Monk Belgian Style Ale.

4th course:
Brown sugar cake with Breakfast Stout cream cheese frosting, paired with Breakfast Stout.

Founders All Day IPA pints will be available for purchase, paired with complimentary curry vegetable wonton appetizers with an All Day IPA Apricot Glaze.

Tickets are available at the bar or online via Brown Paper Tickets at $40, which includes tax but not tip. Must be 21 or older to attend.
