Siena's annual 'Festa Vino' fast approaching

LOUDONVILLE -- The 16th annual Festa Vino, a major Siena College fundraiser, is nearly upon us once again.

The food and wine tasting festival is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. next Thursday, October 15, at the Marcelle Athletic Complex on the campus. Last year, 23 restaurants and 20 wine vendors served more than 700 guests with culinary specialties and more than 100 domestic and imported wines.

"Festa Vino is one of the area's premier fall events," said John Murray, Class of 1979 and president and CEO of the presenting sponsor Rose & Kiernan. "The food offerings and wine tastings are second to none, top shelf. ... It is truly a fun, informal evening without a formal program -- no speeches. It's just a great night of outstanding company and enjoyment. Siena knows how to do it right."

Tickets are priced at $80, or $90 at the door, for regular admission, and $50 for junior tickets for Siena graduates from 2010 through 2015. All are available online. Proceeds will benefit the Siena Saints Alive! Athletic Fund and academic programs at the college.
