Whole Foods recalls 2 types of pre-made salads
Whole Foods Market has recalled curry chicken salad and deli pasta salad sold in its stores in New York and six other Northeast states because of possible listeria contamination.
The salads ... were sold prepackaged, in salad bars, in chef's cases and in sandwiches and wraps prepared in the stores. They were sold from October 18 through October 22 and have a sell-by date of October 23.
The contamination was found during a sampling of the products during a routine inspection. No illnesses have been reported. Listeria can cause fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea and is potentially fatal.
Anyone who purchased the products should throw them away and take their receipt to the store for a refund.
