Today's ride on the Capital Region foodie-go-round

• If you've never heard of CilantroMex, that's not surprising. The mini-chain's seven locations all are in Rhode Island. But, as part of an expansion plan, it is moving into New York and Massachusetts. Its first in the Capital Region is being developed for Crossgates Mall in Guilderland for an early-2016 opening. It also is working on a Syracuse location in the sprawling Destiny USA mall. Click here for a look at the menu.

The Breakfast Spot of Lake George still is working on The Breakfast Spot of Cohoes. The owners originally mentioned a potential December opening on their Facebook page, but now have pushed that a bit to early 2016. The 1960s-styled venue, located at 133 Remsen Street, will be offering "breakfast and cocktails." The location formerly was home to Nana's Kitchen and Al-Baraki Mediterranean Restaurant. Incidentally, The Breakfast Spot in Lake George is not related to The Breakfast Club in Lake Placid.
