Trader Joe's issues one more product recall

The Trader Joe’s chain has issued an allergy alert on its Trader Giotto’s Butternut Squash Triangoli.

The company said  the food item may contain undeclared tree nuts, and was sold in the refrigerated deli section with “Use or Freeze by” codes 04 16 15 through 01 15 16. All affected product has been removed from store shelves.

The alert says that people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to tree nuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this ravioli product.

Consumers who purchased the item may return it to the store for a full refund. In the Capital Region, there is a Trader Joe's at 79 Wolf Road in Colonie. Phone: 482-4538.
