370 venues participating in 'NYC Restaurant Week'

370 participating venues
"New York City Restaurant Week," which has nearly twice as many participants as the state's next-largest such event and appears to have nearly three times the number of days in a normal week, is nearly upon us.

The actual schedule, however, is a bit tricky. It is announced as running from Monday, January 18, through Friday, February 5. It does, but not all of those days. Saturdays are excluded from the promotional event, and Sundays are optional.

Each of the 370 participating restaurants will offer three-course lunches for $25 or three-course dinners for $38, or both. Beverages, tips, and taxes are not included in those prices.

The organizers have put up an excellent searchable website allowing users to search for venues by cuisine and by borough, check out menus, and make reservations.

Incidentally, the second-largest such event is the annual "Western New York Local Restaurant Week," held  in Buffalo and surrounding areas. In October, it had 200 participating restaurants.
