Amorici Vineyard plans Valentine’s Weekend dinners

Amorici Vineryard, which began broadening its culinary offerings in 2015, is maintaining the pace in the new year.

Its latest effort will be a "Romantic Food & Wine Creations" dinner for Valentine's weekend with a guest chef. 

Richard Kukle, a well-known personal chef who has his own online cooking show, "Kitchen Magic Made Easy," and Amorici owner-winemaker Joe Messina have put together the wine pairing dinner scheduled for Friday-Sunday, February 12-14. Two seatings will be offered each day -- 6:15 and 8:15 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 2 and 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Limited-seating reservations, with prices depending on entree choice made in advance, may be made by calling the vineyard at 469-0680.

The menu:

Seafood pate, clams casino, pickled vegetable medley, mozzarella in carozza, olive tapenade and crostini.

Soup (choice of one)
Oyster stew or traditional onion (vegetarian)

Mixed field greens with house yuzu dressing

Entrees (choice of one)
Love me Tenderloin, $75 -- Fire grilled prime tenderloin medallions with wild organic oyster mushrooms, winter truffles, Marquette wine reduction.

Turf loves Surf, $75 --  Tenderloin medallions with Marquette wine reduction, paired with butter poached Maine lobster tail.

Maine Lobster Tails, $75 -- Broiled, poached, or scampi style.

North Atlantic Cod , $65 -- Boneless, skinless, baked a la Neapolitan.

Chicken Francaise, $60 -- Egg battered, sautéed boneless breast of organic chicken with lemon and wine reduction.

Neapolitan Vegetarian, $50 -- Lasagna with layers of colorful vegetables.

Vegetarian Medley, $45 -- Vegetable medley plus spicy meatless meatballs.

Passion fruit enhanced fruit compote, tiramisu, chocolate mousse, ricotta cheesecake. Wine pairing included with each course. All entrees served with ratatouille, truffled mashed potatoes, sautéed Asian kale, red rice pilaf. Coffee, tea, and grappa are included. 

Amorici Vineyard is located at 637 Colonel Burch Road, Valley Falls, near the border between Washington and Rensselaer counties.
