La Crema wine pairing dinner at The Point

ALBANY -- The Point Restaurant & Lounge is planning a La Crema Winery dinner pairing dishes by executive chef Jennifer Hewes with wines from the West Coast.

The dinner, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, will feature selections from several La Crema appelations -- Monterey Pinot Gris, Monterey Chardonnay, and Russian River Valley Pinot Noir from California, and Willamette Valley Pinot Noir from Washington.

1st Course -- A salad of baby arugula, figs, breasola, spicy pistachios with fig and balsamic pearls.

2nd Course -- Casino stuffed shrimp with grilled Meyer lemon cream.

3rd Course -- Tea-rubbed quail, currant and crackling risotto with gooseberry glaze.

4th Course -- Wesleydale honey and fig stilton.

Dessert -- Chef's surprise.
