Today's ride on the Capital Region Foodie-Go-Round

Celadon Thai has opened for business at 461 Troy-Schenectady Road in Latham, where the Roman Pub once operated. Berm Chanprakhon, whose resume includes 20 years of cooking in Bangkok, Thailand, and in Los Angeles, heads the kitchen. Yaya Wongprasert Yaya, who has 15 years experience in Thailand and the U.S., is running the front of the house. The menu is available here. Hours: 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, noon to 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Free delivery within a three-mile radius and a $15 minimum. Phone: 389-6190.

• The tiny city of Rensselaer's newest food venues certainly aren't shy about using quirky names. At 483 Broadway, near the new Shakin' Bacon, Baking You Crazy, a venture from Vanessa Berisic, a 21-year-old graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, had its grand opening today. Her bakery-cafe is located where her parents' Red House Pub formerly operated. (They still operate the V&R Italian Restaurant on lower Madison Avenue in Albany.) The menu ranges from pancakes to burgers to veal and peppers. Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends, closed Monday. Phone: 455-7050.

• Wayne Beale has sold one of his four Saratoga County pubs. Stephanie Van Auken, who in 2005 closed her Mama’s Family Restaurant in Clifton Park after a 23-year-run, has purchased the Ravenswood Pub, which has operated at 1021 Route 146 in Clifton Park for 32 years. Beale still owns the Rusty Nail Grill and Tavern (1781 Route 9, Clifton Park), Bentley’s Tavern (4 Hemphill Place, Ballston Spa), and The Mill on Round Lake (2121 Route 9, Round Lake). Van Auken plans to add some Italian specialties to the Ravenswood menu. Phone: 371-8771.

• The Chili's Grill & Bar chain today announced it is overhauling its online ordering system. The announcement said the change is part of "a strategy to differentiate the brand through technology." It is working with the online ordering company Olo to improve ordering via smartphones, tablets, and personal computers. The current system was developed in-house. Chili's, owned by Brinker International, now has 1,583 locations.
