Price Chopper recalls salad over label error
The Price Chopper supermarket chain has issued a recall of its "Grab-and-Go Apple Blue Salads" (UPC #24734600000) sold in its Glenville, Wilton, Clifton Shoppers World, Rotterdam, Niskayuna, Glenmont stores in New York, and in its Bennington, VT, and Pittsfield, MA, stores from January 2 through 7.
The recall was announced because the product label did not contain walnuts, an allergen that is present in the salad. The product is safe for consumption by those not allergic to walnuts.
According to Price Chopper, most of the customers who have AdvantEdge loyalty cards and who bought the item have been contacted .
