Chef Gray Kunz fades to black in Saratoga Springs

To the surprise of absolutely no one who has been paying attention to the checkered development of a pair of upscale Saratoga Springs dining spots, the internationally-known chef who had been much trumpeted as a partner in the projects no longer is.

Gray Kunz, a New York Times four-star chef in the 1990s and currently owner of a Hong Kong restaurant and other properties, is gone from the partnership that opened the Salt & Char steakhouse and is working on redeveloping the neighboring Adelphi Hotel, according to a company  announcement made today.
