Dance museum prepping for its 'A Purple Tie Affair'

Black tie affairs are one thing, but the National Museum of Dance marches -- or pirouettes -- to its own drummer. Thus, the 4th annual "A Purple Tie Affair."

The fundraiser is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, January 21, at the museum. Reservations are $65 per person, or $120 per couple, with prices increasing after Friday of this week. Proceeds will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Nick's Fight To Be Healed Foundation For Pediatric Cancer.

Attendees are asked to wear cocktail party attire and "something purple." Included in the evening will be food and drinks, live music, dancing, raffles, and prizes.

The National Museum of Dance is located at 99 South Broadway in Saratoga Springs. Phone: 584-2225.
