Iconic Albany sandwich shop reopens after flood repairs

Sandwiches To Go no longer is gone.

The downtown Albany lunch mainstay reopened on Wednesday, about six weeks after a water main break caused flooding and extensive damage to major equipment and its elevator.

Sandwiches To Go, which has been in operation at 37 Maiden Lane since 1980, offers housecooked soups and meats and a sandwich lineup. You can get a look at its menu online.

Hours: 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Phone: 434-0614.
