Schenectady gets 'classic Chinese' spot that really isn't

Food Cuisine Asian Bistro has an odd name, but its website explains that it as a "classic Chinese take out restaurant." However, its online menu certainly doesn't bear out that description.

A few examples of the new venture, located at 2035 State Street in Schenectady where the Chinese-Japanese restaurant Mr. Ginger formerly operated:
gyoza -- traditionally, a Japanese fried dumpling
negimaki -- a Korean beef preparation
Mexican chicken wings -- I have no idea
pad Thai -- a standard Thai dish, and one of more than a dozen Thai dishes on the menu
bento boxes and sushi bar -- very Japanese
And on it goes. However, the ultra-large menu offers many Chinese dishes, and the restaurant offers an online ordering service.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday' noon to 10 p.m. Sunday.
