Bonefish Grill abruptly shutters its Colonie location

Two days ago I received an email notification from the Bonefish Grill chain that I could find several specials awaiting me at my local restaurant. But, as of today, I don't have one.

The area's only link in that national chain of 200+ restaurants, open since October 2013 at 59 Wolf Road in Colonie, abruptly went out of business yesterday.

As usually is the case with chain closings -- and sometimes with independent spots as well -- there was no advance public notice, and there is no mention of the move on the company's website or social media.

In an unintended bit of irony, while someone who answered the phone at the restaurant today confirmed "this is a permanent thing, not temporary," the website does list "today's specials" at the Colonie location.
