The Round House Bakery Café in Cambridge is planning to move a little further up East Main Street to the same building that houses the Washington County village's iconic Hubbard Hall arts center.

The cafe currently operates at East Main and Washington streets in a building that is for sale. Cafe owners Lisa and Scott Carrino had create a GoFundMe site in an attempt to raise enough money to buy the building, but that effort has not been suffiicient.

“Having Round House Bakery Café here will be such a wonderful addition to all the ways we serve our community,” David Snider, Hubbard Hall’s executive director told the Post-Star. "The presence of Round House will be a boon for our audiences and our students. And the community will be better able to stay connected with all that we do here on the Hubbard Hall campus.”

Said Lisa Carrino, “We’ll have twice the kitchen space with a real stove and proper storage. We will have more seating and the possibility to have a refrigerated pastry case and more shelving to present our baked goods and retail offerings in a way that we cannot in our present location. We look forward to offering (Hubbard) Hall audience members meals and refreshments before and after shows."
