For Jimmy John's, and then there were two

One of the three Capital Region locations of the Jimmy John's sandwich shop chain has gone out of business.

The 1625 Union Street, Schenectady, venue that opened two years ago this month is no more. In the fashion typical for chains, there was no advance public notice of the abrupt move.

A sign taped to the door states, in part, what is obvious from the newspaper-covered windows: “Thank you for your business. We regret to inform you that this location is no longer open. ..."

The Jimmy John's locations at 2080 Western Avenue in Guilderland and 622 New Loudon Road in Latham remain open for now.
