Time running out to get Mac & Cheese Bowl tickets

If you haven't purchased your tickets for Saturday's 8th annual Mac & Cheese Bowl at Siena College, time is running out.

The fundraiser for the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, historically a sellout event, will be held in  two sessions, beginning at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the Marcelle Athletic Campus on the Loudonville campus at 515 Loudon Road.

More than 30 local restaurants are scheduled to supply their versions of the iconic American dish which will be evaluated by a panel of judges -- including yours truly and event founder Steve Barnes of the Times Union. In addition, attendees will be able to vote for their favorites in the people's choice category.

Tickets, priced at $20 for adults and $5 for kids ages 5 to 12, are on sale at all Price Chopper/Market 32 locations. More than 2,000 people are expected to attend, based on past years' turnouts.
