Amsterdam city officials have reached an agreement with the operator of River’s Edge Cafe before a planned arbitration session later this month. The agreement includes a shift in maintenance responsibilities and brings new revenue for the city.

Common Council members on Tuesday authorized the mayor to sign an addendum to the city’s contract with Dan Nelli, owner of Dan’s Backyard BBQ, who serves as the operator of the city-owned restaurant at Riverlink Park.

The revised terms settle a dispute Amsterdam officials had with Nelli over alleged contract violations, which Nelli had contended were unjustified.
