Fort Edward venue being revived as pizzeria, again

New pizzeria venue (Google Earth photo)
One particular Fort Edward venue may be about to get a new name, but it will be serving the same old favorite food: pizza.

What had at one time been known as Angelina's Pizza and as Adriana's Pizzeria will reopen at 165  Broadway in the Washington County seat, this time as Stumpy's Pizza, a venture by new owner Amy Stumvoll who is planning a June 19 opening.

The name does not mean Stumvoll will limit the fare to pizza, of course. The 15-year restaurant veteran who now is a Fort Edward resident, has been working at a Saratoga Sprints restaurant. She plans to offer several dinner entrees, including chicken riggies, the creamy pasta dish that is an "unofficial official" dish of the Syracuse-Utica area she hails from.

The site is part of a connected three-building site next to the Washington County Historical Society Heritage Research Library.
