Founder sells off Bombers Burrito Bar business

Matt Baumgartner is out of the burrito business.

The local entrepreneur who created Bombers Burrito Bar in Albany 20 years ago, then added a lunch-only Empire State Plaza venue and a location in Schenectady as well aa a franchising division, today announced he has sold all things Bombers to Jimmy Vann, his vice president of operations.

Baumgartner said that although he had some administrative duties with the Bombers brand, he had stepped away from day-to-day involvement,

Baumgartner, 43, still owns The Olde English Pub & Pantry on Albany's Quackenbush Square and Wolff's Biergarten locations in  Albany, Troy, Schenectady and Syracuse. He also owns June Farm, a 120-acre spread in Averill Park where he raises livestock.
