Chez Nous finds a successor chef in its own backyard

Fabrice Vittoz has been named to the top kitchen job at the French country restaurant Chez Nous in Schenectady.

Vittoz, a native of the western French region of Brittany, is thus no stranger to the cuisine. And, he's no stranger to the local scene either, having served as the startup chef at the city's Doubletree Hotel on  Nott Terrace. His resume also includes kitchens in the Catskills and in New York City.

Vittoz succeeds Dominic Colose, who left the position last month in favor of expanding his Yawning Duck catering service.
