Dale Miller, a popular local chef for decades, is putting a toe back in the same waters. Miller, a Certfied Master Chef who created and operates Master Chef Consulting Group, has joined Prestige Hospitality Group (PHG), which owns 21 hotels in the Northeast.

Among those owned by the Albany-based company are The Wick in Hudson; the Elk Lake Lodge in Essex County; Hotel North Woods and Econo Lodge, both in Lake Placid; Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Clifton Park; the Comfort Inn & Suites in Castleton; Hyatt Place in Malta, and the Crowne Plaza In Pittsfield, MA.

Miller will be PHG's "corporate certified master chef," charged with  developing concepts, performance standards and menus for PHG’s hotel restaurants and other food services. He plans to continue serving his current clients as well.

“Restaurant operations and performance are a focal point of PHG’s portfolio of full-service hotels,” Prestige CEO James Frenis said in a statement. “We are fortunate to have someone of Chef Miller’s caliber help us create a superb culinary experience for our properties and their guests.”

Among Miller’s many Greater Capital Region stops are the former Stone Ends in Glenmont,  Jack’s Oyster House and the former Dale Miller: The Art of Dining, both in Albany, Erlowest in Lake George, and Sperry's in Saratoga Springs that he left in 2013.
