Garden Bistro 24 to feature student-grown produce

Garden Bistro 24 certainly can't get much more local than this new produce source: schools in the Bethlehem Central School District.

The restaurant is teaming up with schools to utilize student-grown produce as a way to mark "NYS Farm-to-You Month" during October. Every Tuesday, it will offer a special prix fixe menu featuring produce grown by students in school gardens. A three-course meal chosen using such items will be available for $24, and part of the proceeds will be returned to the school gardens.

The first menu, which will be served on Tuesday, Oct. 2, will feature BCSD spinach, butternut squash, kale, carrots, potatoes and more. The full list of menu choices for that first dinner is below:
