Their project, called SlickFin Brewing Company, is projected for a November debut at 147 Broadway in this Washington County town.
Kris began brewing in 2012 while in the Marine Corps, and has been honing his craft through recipe development, school, and various homebrew events.
The couple met while both were in the Marines, meeting on the rifle range while stationed in Quantico, VA, in 2003 and getting married a year later.
As they say in their mini-bio, "Kris began his love for brewing while on deployment in the Middle East. It wasn't beer and it wasn't good but it started an undeniable passion for learning and honing the craft of brewing."
The Marches obtained financing for their project through a Washington County Local Development Corp. grant. When they open, Heather will be the taproom manager.
