So, how is the project going? Drop in and find out. Raj opened the doors today for a soft opening, with a grand opening to be announced. Hours will be 11 a.m to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday, 11 am. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and closed Mondays. Free parking is available behind the restaurant off Woolard Avenue.
Raj founded and operated Kinnaree Asian Restaurant on Lark Street in Albany from 2011 to 2016, and prior to that managed Mino’s Sushi Thai restaurant (2006-2008), near his new restaurant. Her usual head chef, Chef Chai, heads the kitchen staff.
Pinto, by the way, has nothing to do with the spotted horse. Rather, it is a Thai word for a portable food container such as those schoolchildren use. In addition to standard Thai dishes, some additional Asian food preparations such as Korean are being offered. The menu is available on the restaurant's website. Phone: 518-608-0018.
