Forno Bistro, one of three Saratoga Springs venues owned by DZ Restaurants, is closing. But, fans should not be concerned. It's only temporary.
The restaurant will close after service on Sunday, February 26, for what is projected to be about three weeks' worth of renovations on the 13-year-old operation located at 541 Broadway, according to a company announcement.
During that period, Forno will reemerge like Brigadoon for several events at the company-owned DZ Farm in Galway, where food and beverage events frequently are held. Dinners are scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. on two Fridays and Saturdays -- March 3 and 4 as well as 10 and 11.
The company's announcement also says, " 'Forno at The Farm' will be a chance for our Forno Bistro guests to explore new tastes as our chefs practice innovative techniques and prepare original dishes."
DZ Restaurants also owns the downtown Saratoga Springs restaurants Chianti Ristorante and Boca Bistro. The Forno closing does not affect them.
