'Tea brewery' in planning stages for Troy ex-warehouse

The 2nd Street building in Troy.
TROY -- A developer called the Collar City Collective is seeking permission to create a "tea brewery."

The location listed on a submission to the City Planning Commission for its Thursday, October 25 meeting, is first floor commercial space at 274 Second Street, a former warehouse the Collective has been redeveloping into mixed residential and commercial use.

The Collective, a development company, consists of Neil Pelone, founder and principal of the boutique design studio Neil Pelone Architecture; Idan Sasson, a construction specialist in Troy; Dylan Turek, described as a "trained urban planner"; Daniel Blumberg, a developer, and Kristin Jackson, a property services manager and operator of the Troy Flea Market.

  1. Dylan Turek is also the new Economic Development Coordinator for Troy. He recently interviewed with Albany Business Review.

  2. Awesome. Hope it will have herbal tea.
