Troy social club expanding its culinary scene

TROY -- The Franklin Alley Social Club has been building a following since it opened for business 10 months ago. However, even though the cruise-ship-themed bar also offered games -- think bocce,  shuffleboard, and classic video games, it didn't offer much in the way of food. Now, that is changing.

Owners Heidi and Frank Sicari, who were cautious about putting a strain on their small kitchen until the business matured a bit, have added such items as pizzas, wings, cheese and charcuterie boards, and wraps to their menu.

The Franklin Alley Social Club is located in the Takk House downtown event space, also owned by the Sicaris, at 55 Third Street. Access is at the back of the building. Hours: 5 p.m. until late night Tuesday through Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday. Phone: 518-326-1972.

  1. Any improvement over the ten mushy microwaved tater tots for $5 sounds great.
